The 2025 UIL Football State Championship were held last week at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. There were two area teams involved, Richland Springs in Class 1A/D2 and Wall in Class 3A/D2. The Richland Springs took on the top ranked Jayton Jaybirds but were overwhelmed 99-54 to end the Coyotes season at 12-2 and the chance for a 10th Football title. For Jayton, this was their second title in a row and fourth overall.
The Wall Hawks were able to hold off the strong Newton Eagles 25-24 in the second half to win their very first state football title on their second try and finish with an undefeated 16-0 record. The Hawks made their first visit to state in 2013 but fell to Cameron Yoe 35-14.
