130 Mason Youth Participate In 101st Annual Junior Livestock Show

The annual Mason County Junior Livestock Show and Expo officially got underway on Wednesday with the Swine Show and concluded Friday night with the Annual Buyers Premium Sale. In total, 130 young people from across the County participated in the annual event devoted to enriching the lives and educations of Mason County students.

At a special Championship Drive Thursday evening at the Mason Rodeo Area the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion animals and their exhibitors will be introduced and recognized.

Mason youth recognized as the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion exhibitors were:

Della Osbourn was the exhibitor of the Grand Champion Market Steer, with the Reserve Grand Champion shown by Jarrett Worrell.

Slaton Nauman exhibited the Grand Champion Market Lamb, with Zalen Lehmberg showing the Reserve Grand Champion.

Laila Hatfield was the exhibitor of the Grand Champion Market Goat. The Reserve Grand Champion Market Goat was shown by Cautro Beaty.

Suttyn Smith exhibited the Grand Champion Market Swine, with the Reserve Grand Champion shown by Bronwyn Underwood.

Kinsley Atchison was the exhibitor of the Grand Champion Breeding Heifer. The Reserve Grand Champion Breeding Heifer was shown by Jaxon Price.

Phoenix Arrazola received the Grand Champion award in the Food and Nutrition competition, with Ava McCrea receiving the Reserve Grand Champion award.

Riggin Farmer was recognized as the Grand Champion in the Agricultural Mechanics competition, with Owen Brown receiving the Reserve Grand Champion award.
