Mason County Junior Livestock Show Starts Wednesday

The annual Mason County Junior Livestock Show and Expo is set to begin Tuesday evening with the weigh-in of the swine from 5-7pm.

The Mission of the Mason County Livestock Show and Expo is to promote a safe and educational platform for Mason County youth to exhibit livestock and agricultural products to develop valuable life skills, responsibility, competition, financial management and community service.

The exhibition of the livestock will start Wednesday at 9am with the Swine Show, followed by the Swine Showmanship competition.

The Cattle Show will get underway at 3pm on Wednesday. The Fastest Torch competition will be held immediately following the Cattle Showmanship competition.

On Thursday, Jan. 1st, the Sheep Show will start at 10am, with the Goat Show immidiately following that.

Friday actiites will begin with the Food and Nutrition judging at 8am, followed by the Agricultural Mechanics judging at 9am.

The annual Buyer’s Reception with be at 4pm, with the Premium Sale set for a 6pm start.
