Again in 2026, the Mason High School sent a large number of students to compete in the UIL State Tennis Championships in San Antonio. The total participating from Mason was 14 – one each in Girls and Boys Singles; four in each of the Boys, Girls and Mixed Doubles competitions.
And, again this year, the Punchers and Cowgirls tennis squad dominated the Class 2A competition at the State level.
Boys Singles — Russell Watson – Gold Medal.
Girls Singles — Georgia Hicks – Silver Meda.
In the Doubles competition, all three Championship matches featured a Mason-on-Mason matchup.
Boys Doubles – Cade Dudney and Keltan Jordan – Gold / Cooper and Keegan Ratliff – Silver
Girls Doubles – Sophie Alschwede and Chloe Swan – Gold / Taylor Bierschwale and Kinley Wenzel – Silver
Mixed Doubles – Heidi Smith and Corbin Martinez – Gold / Camille Schmidt and Jaxson Holbrook – Silver
