McCulloch, Mason County Commissioners Meetings Set For Monday

The McCulloch and Mason County Commissioners’ courts will be holding regularly scheduled meetings Monday morning.

Mason County Commissioners
will begin their session at 8:15am with a Public Hearing on the County’s proposed budget for the 2026-27 Fiscal Year.

Then, during the regular session, Mason Commissioners will follow-up the Public Hearing by voting to approve changes to the Proposed budget. The next step for the Commission will then be to adopt the budget for next year.

Also on the agenda will be votes to ratify the Property Tax rate reflected in the Budget and to set the Tax Rate for 2026.

Other items on the Mason Commissioners’ agenda include approving the purchase of an new ambulance for EMS using funds from a Rural Ambulance Grant. Also on the agenda is a review of Indigent Healthcare in Mason County.

McCulloch County Commissioners will start their meeting with a request from 4-H to use the Courthouse lawn on Sept. 3rd for the annual “4-H Fair on the Square” to kick off the program for the year.

Other action items will include ordering a Special Election for the Rochelle ISD, purchasing a new metal detector for the Courthouse and considering if the Burn Ban should be extended.
