Acting Texas Controller Kelly Hancock announced this week the State will distribute $1.4 billion in sales tax rebates to Texas Cities and Counties in the month of April — 10 percent more than in April of 2025.
McCulloch County sales tax rebates in May are up 8% at $196, and up 1% year-to-date at $901,000. Within McCulloch County, the City of Brady’s tax rebate for May is up 8% at $133,000. For the year thus far, the City of Brady’s rebate is up 2% at $605,000.
Mason County’s rebate in May is up 24% at $43,000, and up 8% for the year at $193,000.
The Menard County rebate totaled $39,000 in May — uup 9% from 2025. . Year-to-date, Menard’s rebate is $193,000 — up 11%.
San Saba County’s May rebate is $128,000, up 44% from last year, and up 33% year-to-date at $750,000.
Concho County’s tax rebate for May is $61,000, upo 66% from last year. Year-to-date, Concho County ‘s rebate is up 10% $135,000.
