The Hickory Underground Water Conservation District and the McCulloch County Soil and Water Conservation District invite the community to the second-ever Conservation Conversations and Coffee on Thursday, September 17, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at Giddyup Grind, 1702 S. Bridge Street in Brady.
Come pull up a chair, enjoy a cup of coffee, and join us for a morning of conversation, learning and community connections. This event is designed to bring local residents, landowners, agencies and organizations together to share information, ask questions and work toward a stronger, more resilient community.
Featured speakers will include:
John Davis, speaking on Rainwater Harvesting
Jim West, speaking on Texas Agricultural Land Resilience
Linda Myers, speaking on Menard’s Bird City
Several local agencies and organizations will also provide updates and be available for questions and answers, including McCulloch County, Upper Colorado River Authority, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Central Texas Master Gardeners, the City of Brady, and Friends of the San Saba (and of course, Hickory UWCD and McCulloch SWCD).
Coffee will be served, and a few door prizes will be given away.
Parking note: Additional parking is available at Citizens Insurance Agency, 1608 S. Bridge Street. Extra parking has been arranged following limited parking at the last event.
