In remembrance of the beginning of the end of World War II, The Heart of Texas Historical Museum will be placing a wreath at the Rudder Statue on the McCulloch County courthouse lawn.
The wreath is in Memory of all the soldiers that landed, fought and died on the beaches in France on 6-June 1944–80 years ago.
This wreath is in honor of all the men and women of the armed forces that have served under the United States flag on foreign soil to protect our freedom in all wars.
The museum Control tower will be open to the public with a special display for D-Day on Thursday June 6th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Will also have military items of all wars and local military history as well.
This will be free to the public during this time.
