The Famed Brady Bulldog Band boosters will be hosting its 51st Annual Radio Auction fund raiser this Saturday, Feb. 1st.
The auction was established over 50 years ago as a means for supporters of the band program to raise funds for some of the extra expenses associated with the band programs, such as repairing and replacing instruments, and help with travel expenses for both as a whole and for individuals traveling to various competitions.
Each year the auction always includes a wide range of items to temp the bidders — a plethora of delicious food, hand-made and home-made crafts, decorative and household items, toys, tools and a large group of products donated by local and area businesses. And, there is always one or more really special items.
The 51st Annual FBBB Radio Aucton will kick off at roughly 10am on Saturday, Feb. 1st from the Brady High School Drama room, just around the corner from the Band Hall. As it has for over 50 years, the FBBB Auction will be broadcast on 1490 KNEL-AM, on KNELRadio.com, and will again be Live Streamed on the FBBB Facebook page.
In addition to the funds generate by the Auction, a portion of the proceeds from the local Sonic Drive In and tips to car-hopping Band members will be added to the total.
