Menard – On Monday, May 25, residents of Menard are invited to gather at 10:30am at the Couunty War Memorial to honor the Brave men of Menard who gave their lives in the service of the nation. The ceremony will be led by the Menard County Historical Commission.
Mason – The public is invited to attend a Memorial Day Ceremony at 11:00am at the Riverf of Life gymnasium for an event hosted by the Mason County American Legion Post 285.
Col. William R. Grace, USMC (Ret) will be the speaker for the event. Lori Gray will sing the Star Spangled Banner, as well as another patriotic song. Post Commander, Gary Johnson will open the program and the American Legion Honor Guard will provide a 21-gun salute.
