Friday, January 24th at 2:00 pm– Two amazing artists with the Piatigorsky Foundation will be here for a one-hour, intimate and enchanting public performance.
Through their musical performance and comprehensive commentaries, you will gain an unparalleled understanding of the classical music pieces and composers.
At the age of 15, Soprano Kristina Cook was discovered by a roommate while she was singing in the shower at her boarding school, the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. Her dark, rich lower range was in high demand and trained as a mezzo-soprano; recently Kristina discovered the joy of singing high C’s, and has switched to soprano. Now Kristina has 24 soprano opera roles in her repertoire
Kessa Mefford is an award-winning pianist specializing in the music of Maurice Ravel. Kessa has participated in countless recitals, concerts, and master classes. Her master class and coaching opportunities have allowed her to work with world renowned pianists. In her free time, Kessa enjoys her black belt karate classes, video games, and spending time with her husband and two cats.
Kessa Mefford gave her Carnegie Hall debut in December 2022 with a historic program; performing the complete art songs of Ravel with soprano Kristina Cook and released an album of this repertoire at the same time. They are the first duo in the world to ever perform and record these songs in their entirety.

February 4th – J.L. Wilkens and his One Man Bank will be performing at the McCulloch County Library at 5:30 p.m. His performance includes vocals, acoustic guitar, upright bass, drums, mandolin and fiddle… ALL BY MY LONESOME!
