A home town team competing for only the second time in the Cook-Off accomplished a feat that brought them the Championship title at The 50th Annual World Championship Bar-B-Goat Cook-Off held Saturday at Richards Park in Brady.
It was another big year for turn out, with over 200 cookers participating with a total of 914 entries in the nine categories. It was fitting that the 50th anniversary of the event that began in 1974 with just 16 teams competing had grown into a major occurrence each Labor Day weekend for the Brady community.
