Lohn’s Keller Takes 1st Place in High Jump, Rochelle’s Smith Finishes 2nd in 100m & 200m and 4th in Long Jump

The weather was perfect on Wednesday in Veribest as a number of track athletes from McCulloch County qualified for the 1A Region 2 Track Meet following the completion of the Area Track Meet.  Lohn’s Dallas Keller was the Area Champion in High Jump as he was able to clear 5’8” and Rochelle’s Sydney Smith finished in 2^nd Place in both the 100m and 200m dash along with a 4^th Place finish in the Long Jump with a jump of 15’2 1/2″.   Rochelle’s Gunner King finished 4^th in Discus with a throw of 112’4”.

Menard had 8 individuals and the boys 4×100 Relay team advance to the Region 2 Meet while Eden had 2 individuals and the boys 4×400 Relay team advance.  The regional qualifiers for Eden, Lohn, Menard and Rochelle are listed below –
