Brady Council Adopts Voter Approved Charter Amendments, Approves EDC Loans

The first order of business for the Brady City Council Tuesday night was approval of a request for a noise variance for June 8 for the Cox Reunion at Brady Lake Pavilion; a noise variance for Smoke on the Hill at Richards Park on June 15; and a street closure of W. Victoria Street on May 31st for a graduation party.

As part of the session, the Council adopted the implementation of changes to the City Charter approved voters in the May 4 Local Election.

Two loans recommended by the Brady Economic Development Corporation were approved — one for a loan to Helios Press LLC for $200,000 at 3% interest for 10 yearsm, and a second a loan to Salon 325 for $6,000 at 2% interest for three years.

The Council will also hear the first reading of an ordinance amending the EDC’s budget for this fiscal year.
