With Election Day on Tuesday, the Brady City Council moved its regular meeting to Monday evening.

The Council addressed a fairly short agenda, starting with the second and final reading of an ordinance amending the budget by transferring unfinished projects from the FY 2024 budget to the FY 2025 budget.

The Council  approved an agreement for consulting services with Eikon Consulting Group for the Brady Public Safety Facility schematic design for consolidating the Fire and Police Dept. offices in a single facility at the Police Dept. current location.  Cost of developing the plan is projected to total $88,000.

The meeting concluded with and Executive Session that included  as well a meeting with a candidate to serve as the City’s Interim City Manager while the search for a new City Manager is carried out.  On Wednesday, the City learned the candidate had accepted a full-time job elsewhere and will not be available for the Brady post.
