Brady Council Selects Firm to Design New Fire Station

During Tuesday’s meeting, the Brady City Council approved the selection of Maker’s Design Collaborative of Canyon Lake to proceed with the development and concept design of a new fire department building for Brady Fire/EMS.  Makers Design Collaborative has also assisted the City of Brady with the City Hall renovations and animal control structure.

In other business, the Council heard from Karl Friederich who presented the Annual Report for the Public Property and Maintenance division and approved the second and final readings of Ordinances 1406 and 1407.  Ordinance 1406 amends the FY 2026 budget for municipal purposes and Ordinance 1407 grants a Special Use Provision for 212 N Church St to allow for entertainment use in the Central Business District.  Following the completion of the regular agenda items, the Council went into Executive Session for consultation with the City Attorney, personnel matters and discussion of real property regarding the fire station.

The next Brady City Council meeting will be on Tuesday, February 17 at 6PM in the Municipal Courtroom.
