At their meeting Monday evening, the Brady School Board covered a range of issues, including budget amendments, appointments for adjunct facility for 4-H, and adopting local policies recommended by the Texas Association of School Boards.
The Board setting a public hearing for August 29 at 12non on the District’s proposed budget for next year, and discussed local property values and how they affect the tax rate.
In their executive session, the Board deliberate the appointment of public officers or employees to the School Guardian Program and reviewed the deployment or specific occasions for implementation of security personnel, critical infrastructure or security devices.
Appearing on KNEL’s Morning Program Tuesday, BISD Superintendent Dr. Hector Martinez said the District is ready for the start of classes for the new year. He also noted that security at Brady schools has been increased with the addition of the Guardian program, and the strengthening of support from local law enforcement.
