At its meeting Tuesday, Nov. 21st, the Brady City Council agenda included the possible discussion and consideration of awarding a bid for remodeling the former Southward Cafeteria building at 607 W. 11th St. as the new location for Police Department headquarters. The issue had been tabled at the prior Council meeting. However, according to City Manager, Erin Corbell, the Council chose to let the issue remain tabled until a future meeting since there was no new information to be considered.
Other items on the agenda for the Council Tuesday night included extending the lease and financing for a Compactor used at the City Landfill; second and final reading of an ordinance amending the average monthly billing agreement program; and the second and final readings of three ordinances covering operating standards, rules and regulations and fees at Curtis Field Airport.
Lisa Moreno was appointed by the Council to the City’s Tourism Advisory Board, representing the seat to be filled by a Chamber of Commerce Board member.
The Council meeting concluded with an executive session for discussions with the City Attorney and for discussions about Real Property. No action was taken by the Council based on discussions in the Executive Session.
