The Brady ISD Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting Thursday night to continue their consideration of the issues involved in establishing a School Guardian Program in Brady schools. A key element in the Guardian program is that certain faculty members would be allowed to carry firearms on campus.
Following a public forum for comments from the public, the Board will go into an Executive Session for consultation with their attorney regarding legal issues involved.
Next, they’ll deliberate the possible appointment of a public officers or employees to the School Guardian Program. And, while still in the executive session, the Board will deliberate the deployment or specific occasions for implementation, of security personnel, critical infrastructure or security devices.
After the Executive Session ends, the Board will go back into open session to consider adopting a resolution establishing a School Guardian Program in Brady Schools.
