This week, the City of Brady will launch the preparation of a new Comprehensive Plan on Wednesday, Sept. 18th and will be seeking community input on what the citizens of Brady think the goals for the area should be.
Representatives from the City and from Verdunity, the company selected to prepare the Plan, will host a “pop-up” event for the community at Barney’s Coffee Shot Wednesday from 12-2pm as a kick-off for the City-wide effort.
Then, from 6-8pm on Wednesday, the City and Verdunity will host an Open House at the TruCountry Inn Bluebonnet Ballroom. This event will allow community interaction while promoting the survey that kicks off the Comprehensive Planning Process.
City officials and representatives of Verdunity emphasize that a Comprehensive Plan is the result of a structured process that helps determine the City’s goals for community development. The survey being kicked-off this week is, therefore, an integral component of the process.
Brady City Manager Erin Corbell said, “The City of Brady encourages all residents to attend the pop-up come-and-go event or the Community Open House next Wednesday, Sept. 18th. Your input is vital to make sure the City of Brady is working to attain the goals that our citizens have for the community.”
