Cong. Pfluger Appeared On KNEL’s Morning Program Friday

Congressman August Pfluger was a guest on KNEL’s Morning Program Friday morning to review recent developments in Washington, current activities in Congress and his point-of-view on all of it.

Cong. Pfluger conducted Town Hall meetings this week with 11th Congressional District constituents in Midland, Odessa, Llano and Horseshoe Bay.

Cong Pfluger touched on a number of current issue while appearing on KNEL — the decision by the Supreme Court on using race in college admissions, homeland security, administration policy regarding energy and measures to help and preserve energy and agriculture. He concluded his comments with a reiteration of his faith in the U.S. and the people of the 11th District.

On Thursday,  Representative August Pfluger (TX-11) released a statement following the Supreme Court landmark decision Thursday barring colleges and universities from considering race in the admissions process: “The Supreme Court’s decision to ban affirmative action is a positive step toward ensuring no American will be rejected from an educational opportunity based on the color of their skin. The college admissions process must now return to individuality, merit, and equal opportunity.”

Friday, Cong. Pfluger commented on the decision by by the Supreme Court overturning President Biden’s student loan bailout program: He said the decisiion “marks a crucial victory for fiscal responsibility, individual accontability and the principles that underpin our economic system. Hard working Americans shoud not be burdened  with increased taxes to pay the bills for those who willingly took on — and have yet to pay off — their debts. ”
