In remembrence of the beginning of the end of World War II, the Heart of Texas Historical Museum will hold a short presentation at the Rudder Statue in honor of all the soldiers that landed, fought and died on the beaches of Normandy, France on June 6, 1944..
The presentation will begin promptly at 7:05am on Friday, June 6th on the West Side of the McCulloch County Courthouse Square. The time – 7:05am — coincides with when the first landings began on this important Historic event 81 years ago.
Following the presentation, the Heart of Texas Historical Museum and Control Tower will be open to the public with free admission, special displays and refreshmentrs.
The public is invited to join the Heart of Texas Historical Museum to help commermorate this historic event.
