With a 12 vote margin out of a total of 224 votes cast, Rod Young defeated Cody Crouch in the Run-Off election to determine who will be the next Precinct 3 County Commissioner in McCulloch County.
Young won the Ru-Off election with a total of 118 votes — 50 votes in Early balloting and 68 on Election Day. Crouch received a total of 106 votes — 41 votes in the Early voting and 65 on Election Day.
The current Precinct 3 Commissioner, Jason Behrens, chose not to seek re-election to the post.
Just 22 McCulloch County voters cast ballot in the Democrat Party Run-Off election for Justice in the 3rd Court of Appeals. Maggie Ellis received 20 votes in the County, with her opponent, Edward Smith receiving 2 votes.
