The Eden School District hosted a grand opening ceremony for its new school site at 420 Kelly Street on Monday as the district opens its doors to welcome back students for the 2022-2023 school year.
The new school site includes 23 classrooms for grades PreK-12, science labs, library, a band hall, and career and technology facilities with fully equipped kitchens and welding stations. The new campus also includes a new gymnasium, weight room, resurfaced track, and concessions stand. All facilities will include safety and security upgrades.
Construction on the site began in October of 2020 after a $25 million bond was passed in November of 2019. The passing of this bond was a landmark event for the community since the original high school was opened in 1930.
A ribbon cutting ceremony included guided tours will be offered by the Eden FCCLA chapter.
