Beautiful weather and a strong community turnout made Halloween in the Heart another successful celebration Tuesday evening as families gathered at Richards Park for an event filled with costumes, treats, and family-friendly activities.
Hosted by the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce, the annual event welcomed children and parents from throughout the community for an evening that combined the excitement of Halloween with the small-town spirit that continues to define Brady.
Throughout the park, children dressed as superheroes, princesses, favorite characters, and seasonal figures moved from trunk to trunk collecting candy while enjoying the festive atmosphere. Local businesses, organizations, and volunteers helped create a welcoming environment for families by providing treats, activities, and entertainment.
In addition to trunk-or-treating, attendees enjoyed a bounce house, popcorn, hot dogs, a book giveaway, and other activities offered throughout the evening. The pleasant autumn weather encouraged families to linger, visit with friends and neighbors, and take part in the various attractions available across the park.
One of the evening’s most popular attractions was the Dog Costume Contest, held under the pavilion at Richards Park. Sponsored by Rosey Vinyard of Vineyard’s Scuff to Fluff Grooming, the contest drew an enthusiastic crowd as pet owners proudly showcased their costumed companions before a panel of judges.
At the conclusion of the competition, Max was named the first-place winner, earning applause from spectators gathered for the event. The contest added a lighthearted and memorable element to an evening already filled with community engagement and family fun. (Rosey and Max pictured together)
