Conservation Conversations & Coffee
The Brady community gathered Tuesday morning for Conservation Conversations & Coffee, an event hosted at Giddy Up Grind Coffee, where residents came together to discuss local water issues, conservation efforts, and long‑term resource management.
Representatives from the Brady Creek Watershed Conservation District and the Hickory Underground Water Conservation District led conversations on water conservation, data center impacts, and regional water strategies. Attendees enjoyed fresh coffee, donuts, and the chance to ask questions and learn more about the challenges and solutions shaping the area’s water future.
A highlight of the morning included a community giveaway sponsored by the Hickory Underground Water Conservation District. Angelina Deans, representing the district, joined Karen Bishop and Vicki Roddie, who were each selected as winners of a $20 Giddy Up Grind gift certificate. Their recognition added a celebratory touch to an event centered on education, collaboration, and community connection.
The Conservation Conversations & Coffee series continues to grow as a welcoming space for residents to stay informed, voice concerns, and work together toward responsible water stewardship in Brady and the surrounding region.
