The Brady City Council met for a regular session on Tuesday night with just a few items to consider. Following the approval of the minutes from Feb 3, 2026 meeting, Council approved Resolution 2026-001 to canvass the special election on February 12 for Place 2. The official results had Raymond Ledezma with 106 votes and Wayne O’Briant with 78 votes. After canvassing the vote, Raymond Ledezma was officially sworn in as Council Member for Place 2 on the Brady City Council.
Other items considered was the approval of a TEMAT application to allow Fire Chief Jeremy Ramon to deploy with the Texas Division of Emergency Management and approval authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement for professional services not to exceed $51,200 with Weaver Consulting Group, LLC for the purpose of submitting a landfill permit modification to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Following the completion of the action items, Council then recessed into Executive Session for consultation with the City Attorney concerning an Interlocal agreement with County for EMS service and radio tower repairs; Personnel Matters – City Manager duties & recommendations and Deliberations about Real Property – Police Station/Fire Station
The next regular meeting of the Brady City Council will be on March 3, 2026. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
