The Place 2 seat on the Brady City Council has been decided, and Raymond Ledezma came out on top with 106 votes, defeating Wayne O’Briant who garnered 78 votes.
In Early vorting, Ledezma received 74 votes, with O’Briant getting 53 votes. On Election Day, Ledezma picked up 32 votes, with O’Briant receiving 25 votes. The total vote for both Early and Election Day was 184 votes cast in the Special Election.
Ledezma will be sworn in at the Council session on Feb. 17, following the official canvass of the election results. He will serve the remainder of the unexpired term of Aaron Garcia who passed away in December.
