Menard ISD announced Tuesday that Clay Holland has been named the new Athletic Director.
Raised in London, Holland went to school in Junction.
In its announcement, Menard ISD said Holland is no stranger to success. He led his football team deep into the playoffs, and he won state in track while in high school. His talents took him to Texas State to run track. After college, Holland found the 6-man world and coached under the very successful, Mike Reed.
After several years of 6-man football, Holland received an opportunity to coach track at the college ranks. His most recent stop was at Tarleton State as their head Cross Country and head Track coach.
Holland has 16 years of coaching experience with 9 years at the NCAA Division I level, coaching at Texas State and UT Arlington as well. Coach Holland is “excited and ready to build on the tradition”.
