At the Brady City Council meeting Tuesday night, newly elected members Aaron Garcia and Curtis Owens were administered the oath of office and sworn in.
Garcia takes the Place 2 seat on the Council previously held by Missi Elliston.. Owens took the Place 3 seat that was held by Jeffrey Sutton.
The first item on the Council agenda was recognition and a reception for the two outgoing Council Members .
When the Council reconvenes, the next order of business will be to elect a Council Member Terry Phillips as the new Mayor Pro-Tem.
Action items on the Council agenda included the second and final readings of an ordinance establishing a vacant building code and an ordinance setting vacant building fees.
Also on the Council agenda was setting the schedule and workshop dates for developing the City budget for the next fiscal year. The Council is targeting having the budget finished in mid-July.
