It was a three-peat as the Rochelle Hornet girls and boys golf teams each won the District 12A Golf Title for the third year in a row. Both teams won in dominating fashion with the boys A team winning by 223 strokes over second place Eden while the girls topped Menard by 183 strokes. Rochelle’s boys B team came in third. For the boys, Merek Howell won the individual district title, followed by Bobby Cole Estes who took 2nd place and Kelton Williams came in third. Jayce McCormick qualified as a medalist and will advance to the Region Tournament.
On the girl’s side, MJ Penn won the individual district title followed by Klee Teague who finished 2nd, and Kaylee Arnold who came in 3rd. Abbigail Ballard and Hadlee Cavness have qualified as medalists and will advance to regionals. Up next for Rochelle Hornet golf will be the region tournament next week at Maxwell Golf Course in Abilene from April 14th through the 17th.
