Officials with the Rochelle Water System announced Monday morning the Boil Water Notice issued last Thursday has been rescinded. for the system as a result of a water line break this week.
The Notice was issued as a result of a water line break and a drop in system-wide pressure. When there is a line break and the system water pressure drops below a predetermined level, the posting of a Boil Water Notice for the system is required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
The Boil Water Notice remained in effect until the repairs were completed and the water quality is tested by TCEQ.
