The Saucedo family of Brady came out in full force for the 51st Annual World Bar-B-Que Goat Championship in 2025 and succeeded in taking the big prize and the big trophy.
The name of the team was the “Goat Smokin’ Cowboys” and was composed of a large number of family and friends, according to A.J. Saucedo, one of the team leaders.
Saucedo said the team had been competing for the Championship for 12 years before taking the big prize this year.
The 2025 Goat Cook-Off included 189 cookers competing in eight different categories.
In the competition among previous winners of the Cook-Off, Burl Wigginton returned to again take the award for the Super Bowl Championship.
In the other various categories included in the 2025 Goat Cook-Off, the winners were:
Mystery Meat (Axis) – Go Ahead and Get You Some team.
Dessert – Big Dog Bar-B-Que
Ribs – Goats ‘n Roses
Margarita – Waco Boys
Queso (new category for 2025) – Ranchito Cookers
Hospitality – Poor Poor Decision (received 471 votes)
Best Rig – The Waco Boys
Showmanship – Tina Keys and the Pit Crew
