Steve Thomas Resigns As Brady Police Chief

On Wednesday,  Nov. 2nd, Brady Police Chief Steve Thomas  submitted his resignation from that post, effective Friday, Nov. 4.  Thomas had served as the Brady Police Chief for seven years.

Thomas resignation on Wednesday followed a Brady City Council meeting Tuesday, Nov. 1st that included an Executive Session in which the duties and performance of the Police Chief was included.  The Council took no action Tuesday night on any discussions held during the executive session.

Brady Police Captain Randy Batten was named by Mayor Tony Groves to fill the Chief position while the search for a new Chief is carried out by the City Council.   Batten is a veteran of 25 years experience in law enforcement.
