McCulloch County Judge, Frank Trull reported Tuesday the Waldrip Bridge has been closed.
The Waldrip Bridge spans the Colorado River connecting Northwest McCulloch County with Southeast Coleman County.
Judge Trull indicated he had been called by Greg Cedillo with TxDOT Tuesday informing him a bridge inspection had revealed fractured critical connections. As as result, TxDOT ordered the immediate closure of the bridge.
No other information is available at this time.
Judge Trull said McCulloch County strongly encourages everyone to obey the warning signs and stay off the Waldrip Bridge.
