The Millersview-Doole Water Supply Corporation announced
Thursday morning that a temporary pump had been installed at the Melvin Pump Station and the water was up and running.
The Melvin Station was damaged early Sunday morning by a lightning strike and a subsequent fire. From that time until early Thursday, the Millersview-Doole System was unable to supply water to areas in McCulloch County east of Vancourt and south of the Concho River. Residents in that area are advised to find an alternate source of water.
The announcement Thursday morning said the water was flowing, but the process would be slow to recover and it would take some time for water to again reach all customers.
Millersview-Doole customers were also reminded the System would still be under a Boil Water Notice until the Texas commission on Enviornmental Quality completes testing the water.
