At their meeting Tuesday night, the Brady City Council began with a discussion and action on a Resolution to increase the current City Budget by $75,000 for improvements to the City’s water and sewer systems.
The Council also acted on a Resolution calling a General Election on May 6 for Places 4 and 5 on the Council, and a Resolution calling for a Special Election to the fill the unexpired term for Mayor.
The filing period for the two City Council seats currently held by Jane Huffman and Jay May began on January 18th and will close on February 17th. Both Huffman and May have filed for re-election to their seats on the Council.
Another item on the Council agenda was a Resolution authorizing the financing of two Police vehicle.
The Council also had scheduled an Executive Session with the City Attorney to discuss contemplated litigation and other matters.
