Appearing on KNEL’s Morning Program Friday, Heather Myles outlined her dreams and plans for revitalizing the G. Rollie White Complex.
At the conclusion of their meeting Tuesday, the Brady City Council voted to move ahead with negotiations with Myles for a lease agreement for the G. Rollie White Complex.
Since moving to Brady several years ago, Myles has developed several local businesses that began with renovation of the old Brady Hotel into the Tru-Country Inn and includes Barney’s Coffee Shop, the Brady Brewing Company restaurant and a pizza shop.
Myles indicated she has developed a three-year plan to for the facility includes a fair, a rodeo and a horse training facility, First on the list to be developed she said is a County Fair that she hopes will be held in conjunction with the stock show. Also on her list is an old-fashioned Ranch Rodeo to be called the Brady Stampede.
Then, a major effort will be a year-round training facility for horses. Myles points out that she and her brother were raised on a training ranch, and her brother had spent his career in that field.
Myles said she is excited about the future prospects of the G. Rollie White facility.
The next steps in the in the process will be the finalization of a lease agreement between the City of Brady and Myles.
