At their meeting on Monday night, the Brady ISD Board of Trustees selected Will Inger to fill the Place 2 vacancy on the Board. Employed by the SBAK Ranch, Inger has four children, with two currently attending Brady Elementary. He has been a part of the Brady Community since 2009. Inger fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Michael Cook. He will serve out the remainder of the current term, with the Place 2 seat scheduled to be on the ballot in May of 2023. Inger was one of three individuals who had expressed an interest in serving on the Board and were interviewed during an Executive Session Monday night.

Other  items on the Board agenda included approving a bid for a fire alarm system and a BISD Wellness Policy. The Board tabled an Interlocal Agreement with the Lohn ISD.

The Board will begin work on the District budget for the next school year at a workshop scheduled for June 20th.  Appearing on KNEL’s Morning Program Tuesday, Superintendent Dr. Hector Martinez said he is confident the budget process will go smoothly.  He said he doesn’t see any  major issues that will need to be addressed. Current BISD enrollment stands at 943.
