The Rochelle Hornet Awards Banquet was held this past Monday at the Rochelle School cafetorium and several student athletes were recognized with awards. Listed below are the various winners who were recognized by sport.
Football:
- Offensive MVP – Cole Estes (All-State Wide Receiver)
- Defensive MVP – Kelton Williams (All-Region Line Backer)
- Overall MVP – Merek Howell (All-Region Spreadback and Corner)
Volleyball MVP:

Cross Country MVP:
- Sydney Smith (Regional Qualifier)
Basketball MVP (Girl & Boy):

Track MVP (Girl & Boy):
- Sydney Smith (3 time State track qualifier – went to state in the 100m dash this year and placed 7th)

- MJ Penn (Individual District Champ and Regional Qualifier)
- Merek Howell (Individual District Champ, Regional Qualifier, and State Qualifier this year and placing 5th overall at State Golf Tournament)
