At the State UIL Golf championships tournament this week, both the Mason Cowgirls and Ainsley Burns set new state records.
The Mason Cowgirls went into the tournament with two teams — the Varsity and the Junior Varsity squads — a new record for Mason. ‘
With Ainsley Burns leading the way, the Varsity team went on to win the State Championship for an unprecedented Fifth time.
For Ainsley Burns, this was her fourth trip to the State Tournament, and with another outstanding performance, she scored her Fourth Gold medal at State.
