Mason Cowgirls Win State UIL Class 2A Golf Title For Third Year In A Row

The Mason Cowgirls Golf Team Tuesday won the Texas Class 2A State Golf tournament for the third year in a row.  And, they now only won, they won big.

The Mason girls finished the two-day tournament 85 shots ahead of the second place team. Their first day score of 326 broke the Day 1 record.  On Day 2, the Cowgirls combined for a total of 311  set another records. Their overall score of 637 beat the Class 2A record by 12 strokes.

Mason’s Ainsley Burns was the overall Gold Medalist with a two-day total of 149, with her sister, Avery , taking the Silver Medal with a two-day score of 151.
