The Lone Star Circle of Life Bike Tour made a stop in Brady Friday afternoon as part of their 500-mile journey across Texas to raise awareness of the urgent need for blood, marrow, organ, tissue and stem cell donations.
While in Brady, two of the participants in the tour stopped in at KNEL to discuss the tour and outline thbeir personal connection to donation. One visitor was a kidney transplant recepient who was joined on the Tour by his donor. The other visitor to KNEL had a son who received a heart transplant as a child.
Now in its 26th year, the Tur is a week-long trek that began in Canyon November 2nd and will conclude Saturday, Nov. 8 in Fredericksburg at Lady Bird Park. A presentation will be hled to share the stories of local individuals who are being honored as recepients or as a donor.
