A break in a main water line across the street east of the Heart of Texas Hospital around mdnight Sunday caused a series of problems into the morning hours.

The initial break and the response by The system caused low water pressure throughout the City, with some areas losing water service entirely while the repairs were being made.

The most serious problem was near the Hospital, with other leaks reported on West 11th Street and at the intersection of E. First and South Blackburn.

Brady City Manager James Stewart reported late morning that the major break had been repaired and crews  had moved to other, smaller, leaks.  The City Manager also indicated City crews had been augmented by a crew brought in from San Angelo.

The final major repair of the day came just before 6pm when crews completed repairing the leak at the intersection of S. Blackburn and E. First.  The operation had been especially difficult because of problems getting the water shut off in that area. Ultimately, the City crew was able to get the pipe repaired with the water on.
