The Brady City Council met on Tuesday night for what turned out to be a rather short meeting. Following the approval of the minutes from the budget workshops, Council was given a presentation on the city’s proposed FY 2027 Budget. The first action taken by Council was a roll call vote to approve the proposed tax rate for 2026 of 0.358001 by a vote of 5-0. The next agenda items were related to two Brady EDC grants for Merica Brewing which will be located at 210 N Blackburn. The first request involves a $50,000 building improvement grant and the second request is for a sign grant in the amount of $5,646.86. Both request were approved 5-0. The final Council action was to approve disposal of assets of the property located at 600 W. Walker St.
Council did have an Executive Session after the regular meeting but no action was taken. The next Brady City Council meeting will be on August 18, 2026 at 6PM.
