It was announced this past week that the former Heritage Funeral Home in Menard has been purchased and began operating on Oct. 1st.
Community Funeral Home is a part of Kirk Family Funeral Homes that currently operates funeral homes in Brownwood, Coleman and Abilene. The firm is headed by Eliot Kirk whose family has a long history in the funeral home business. Sharon Hill will be the admin/office manager of the facility in Menard.
Kirk told the Menard News that his family is “excited to reopen the funeral home.” He added they “hope to do business with everyone local, and hope to provide a service to the community.”
