It was a great showing for the Brady High School Speech and Debate team last Friday as they competed at the district CX Debate meet in Llano and they made quite a showing indeed! All six students competing placed no lower than 2nd, and all of them will be moving on to the Region Meet at Abilene Christian University on April 25–26. This was also the second year in a row for the team to bring home the District Championship. And when combined with last week’s academic scores, Brady High School was also awarded the Runner-Up Academic Sweepstakes Award which is the highest BHS finish at the District Meet in recent memory. Coaches for Brady are Erin Rainey and Natanya Turk.
