Lohn Water Supply experienced a large water leak on Saturday just off the intersection of FM 504 and CR 304 causing customers in the area to experience low pressure or loss of water. Crews were able to respond quickly, isolate the leak, and complete the necessary repairs at around 11:30 PM. Water service is now restored and pressure should be back to normal, however a boil water notice is in effect for the next couple of days.
Lohn ISD will still have their planned teacher in-service day on Monday (Sept 21) and arrangements have been made for the safety of staff. Lohn ISD will continue to monitor the situation, and keep everyone updated. As a reminder, students are always allowed and encouraged to carry water bottles from home, but no juices or fillers please. Water only except for breakfast and lunch breaks.
