Brady Council OK’s Road Closures, Zoning Ordinance Revisions

The Brady City Council moved fairly quickly through their agenda during Tuesday night’s meeting.  First up were 2 public hearings that were held regarding amendments to the City’s Zoning Ordinance proposing revisions related to signs and accessory buildings with no public comments being offered.  Moving to the regular agenda items, Council approved Ordinance 1414 on second reading to amend the Fiscal Year 2026 budget for municipal purposes along with approving Ordinances 1415 & 1416 on first reading to amend the City of Brady Zoning Ordinance regarding revisions related to signs and accessory buildings.  Council Member Ledezma was not able to attend.
Also approved was a request from the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce for several road closures and use of traffic barricades for the 100th Annual July Jubilee Parade on Saturday, July 4, 2026 and requests for noise variances for the annual Bradshaw Reunion at Brady Lake and the July Jubilee Street Dance at the G. Rollie White Complex.
Following the regular meeting, the Council recessed into Executive Session for consultation with the City Attorney and for deliberations concerning real property.
The next regular Brady City Council meeting will be on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 6PM at the Municipal Court building.
