McCulloch County Precinct 4 County Commissioner, Don Bratton, announced Tuesday he is resigning that post effective August 22nd.
In his announcement, Commissioner Bratton said he chose to resign to better focus on his family’s needs. He said his family had recently experienced a tragic event they are still coping with. Soon after, he said he had suffered a medical malady, the severity of which he said remains undetermined.
McCulloch County Judge, Frank Trull, indicated Bratton’s resignation will be taken up at the next Commissioners’ meeting on August 25th. The process of appointing a temporary replacement for Bratton will begin at that time.
