The Brady City Council will begin its Tuesday night meeting with Public Hearings on the City’s proposed budget for the 2024 fiscal year and a the proposed tax rate for the 2023 tax year. The tax rate being proposed by the Council is .3422 cents per $100 valuation, down from .3748 cents per $100 valuation for the 2022 tax year.
Following the Public Hearings, the Council will hold the first reading of ordinances setting the budget, tax rate and the schedule for utility rates and fees.
The Council agenda will also include a resolution amending the Police Vehicle Replacement policy; a resolution authorizing a contribution to the McCulloch County Child Welfare Board; and a resolution authorizing the creation of an employee benefits trust.
The Brady Council will conclude with an Executive Session for discussion with the City Attorney on contemplated litigation and personnel.
